SRH Beat RCB by 55 Runs as They Lock in Playoff Spot in IPL 2026

Royal Challengers Bengaluru were beaten by 55 runs by Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday, yet Rajat Patidar’s team still finished the league phase at the summit and booked their place in the IPL playoffs. In a run-fest that saw SRH post 255/4 in the first innings, RCB managed 200/4 in their 20 overs in reply.

Patidar provided the key spark with a knock of 56 from 39 balls, while Krunal Pandya remained unbeaten on 41* as RCB fell short of the target.

Looking ahead, RCB are set to take on Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 1 on May 26 at Dharamshala. Sunrisers Hyderabad will play the eliminator on May 27.

Rajasthan Royals, viewed as the most likely to take the final playoff position, were fourth with 14 points from 13 games (7 wins, 6 losses) and a net run rate of +0.083.
