Klaasen and Kishan top IPL 2026 Orange Cap charts as SRH seize lead

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) — the franchise in orange — have tightened their grip on the IPL 2026 Orange Cap conversation, with Heinrich Klaasen and Ishan Kishan now sitting at the summit of the run charts. Their rise in the batting standings has pushed them into the first two positions as the tournament’s leading run-getters continue to take shape.

Kishan climbed past 22 players thanks to a brisk 91 off 44 balls, while Klaasen jumped up from third place after scoring 40 off just 26 deliveries. The standout among the young guns, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who had held the top spot before the Rajasthan Royals (RR) vs SRH encounter, was unable to get going and departed on the first ball.

The SRH batting duo also joined Sooryavanshi in becoming the first three individuals this season to reach the 200-run mark.

Sooryavanshi’s opening partner, Yashasvi Jaiswal — currently fifth in the standings — could only add a single run to his total in the match. Dhruv Jurel, placed sixth on the list, likewise failed to score against SRH.

RR legspinner Ravi Bishnoi retained second place in the Purple Cap standings despite going wicketless. However, his teammate Jofra Archer moved up to fourth after taking two wickets, bringing his haul to seven wickets across five games.

On the SRH bowling front, Harsh Dubey remains the only SRH player inside the top 10 wicket-takers this season, though he was unable to add to his tally in the game. Eshan Malinga has now matched Dubey’s wicket count at five, including two wickets against RR. SRH debutants Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain — both of whom began their IPL journeys with four-wicket hauls — are also close behind in the race.
