Alongside the fitness concerns, tactical choices have also drawn attention. Reports of how Varun Chakravarthy has been deployed have been a talking point, particularly his use in the powerplay and the runs that followed. Selection decisions have raised further eyebrows as well. Tim Seifert has only recently been given an opportunity, while Rachin Ravindra has yet to feature, despite a strong support group that includes Shane Watson, Tim Southee and Dwayne Bravo.
