Gujarat Titans bounced back in style to level their IPL 2026 campaign against defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru, winning by four wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Thursday. Chasing 156, the Shubman Gill-led side handled the pressure after a few moments of uncertainty to earn their fifth win of the season.
The result mattered beyond the margin. With two points from a home triumph, GT moved to 10 points and kept pace toward the playoff positions while holding their ground in the middle of the table. The win also tightened the chase at the top end, cutting the gap with fourth-placed Rajasthan Royals to just two points and extending their advantage over sixth-placed Chennai Super Kings to four points.
