CSK opener Sanju Samson climbed into the top five after producing an unbeaten, match-defining 87 off 52 balls in their successful chase of 156. Samson pushed B Sai Sudharsan of Gujarat Titans out of the No. 5 position and now joins KL Rahul, Abhishek Sharma, Heinrich Klaasen, and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi as the only players in IPL 2026 who have amassed 400-plus runs. Samson is currently ahead with 402 runs from ten innings, striking at 167.50 and holding an average of 57.42.

Purple Cap leaderboard
The top five in the Purple Cap chart stayed the same after Tuesday’s match. Bhuvneshwar Kumar remains at the summit with 17 wickets for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, followed by Anshul Kamboj (CSK) with 17 wickets. Kagiso Rabada sits third on 16 wickets for Gujarat Titans, with Jofra Archer next at 15 for Rajasthan Royals, and Eshan Malinga rounding out the group on 15 wickets for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
