Australia Announce 3-ODI Pakistan Tour Starting May 30, Matches in Rawalpindi & Lahore

Australia are preparing for a three-match ODI tour of Pakistan, with the series getting underway on May 30. The squad is scheduled to land in Islamabad on May 23, giving the players time to settle ahead of the first one-day international, which will be staged in Rawalpindi. The second ODI is set for June 2 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, followed by the third match on June 4 at the same venue. The itinerary marks a return to Pakistan for Australia after their earlier visit this year in January, when they played a three-game T20I series.

Australia’s most recent Champions Trophy 2025 campaign also saw them take the field in Pakistan. They contested all three of their group-stage fixtures there, though two of those encounters were washed out. With the ODI tour due to begin shortly after the conclusion of the IPL, questions remain over the availability of several senior members of Australia’s group, including captain Pat Cummins. The upcoming ODI assignment will be their first in the format since their home series against India last October.

After completing the Pakistan ODIs, Australia are expected to travel to Bangladesh for an all-format tour that starts on June 9. Pakistan, meanwhile, come into the series after a recent ODI setback, having lost 2-1 in Bangladesh. Following the end of the PSL, Pakistan are also due to head back to Bangladesh for a two-Test series, setting up a busy stretch of international cricket across formats.
