Arshdeep Singh Deletes Instagram Posts After PBKS IPL 2026 Playoff Exit

India fast bowler Arshdeep Singh has removed a large number of his Instagram uploads after Punjab Kings’ exit from the IPL playoff race. With PBKS bowing out following the league stage, the 27-year-old’s campaign had already drawn plenty of attention for the wrong reasons—he managed only 14 wickets from 14 matches in IPL 2026 and conceded at more than 10 runs per over. Still, despite those struggles on the field, Arshdeep has remained a talking point online, with fans noticing that he has also taken down a highly popular post from his page.

One of the most talked-about deletions was a viral reel featuring star batter Virat Kohli. The clip, originally shared in December last year, reportedly crossed the 15 million-view mark and showed Arshdeep trading playful banter with the former India captain. In the reel, Arshdeep joked that if the chase had required a larger total, Kohli might have gone on to register a third consecutive century.

Arshdeep’s line in the video read: “Paaji, run kam rehgaye, century aaj pakki thi waise.” Kohli then responded in a light-hearted manner, saying that the toss had gone in his favour. “Toss jeet gaye, nahi toh teri bhi pakki thi dew mein,” Kohli replied, referring to the advantage of winning the toss and the conditions at the start of play.

While the reel’s caption and the exchange circulated widely, the latest update on Arshdeep’s Instagram activity is that he currently has only 44 posts on his account—an amount that is far below what it appeared to be just a few days earlier. The timing of the deletions has also fueled speculation, especially as fresh reports have pointed to new restrictions on social media content involving PBKS players.

Those reports suggest that videos featuring Punjab Kings players must now be created and shared solely through the franchise’s official social channels. A team source indicated that the CEO would address the squad after training that night and lay out the directions that have been issued by the BCCI. The message, as described, was that there is no specific player being singled out, and that the rules must be followed strictly.
