The BCCI is considering a switch for the Under-23 men’s white-ball tournament from the 50-over format to Twenty20 cricket. Board sources indicate that the competition, which is presently contested as a one-day event, could be reshaped into a 20-over league for the next cycle of domestic cricket.
At this stage, no official note has been dispatched to the state associations outlining the proposed change. However, it is understood that the transition is likely to be implemented starting with the upcoming domestic season.
