In a post on social media on Wednesday night, CSK stated that Overton has a right thigh injury and will return to the UK for additional assessment and management.
Overton has been a key figure for CSK with the ball this season, currently sitting as their second-highest wicket-taker. He has claimed 14 wickets at an average of 17.78, while maintaining an economy rate of 18.89. His most recent impact came in CSK’s previous match, where he delivered a Player of the Match performance by taking 3 for 36 in a five-wicket win over LSG at Chepauk on May 11.
