A right-arm medium pacer who bats right-handed, Ghosh has earned attention through consistent domestic output for Maharashtra. His breakthrough came during the Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he produced a remarkable spell of 7 for 42 against Himachal Pradesh—one of the rare occasions where a bowler has reached seven wickets in a List A match. That performance helped put him firmly on the radar of franchise scouts.
With the bat, he has also offered more than a supporting role. In the same Vijay Hazare Trophy, Ghosh struck a rapid 64 off 27 balls against Mumbai, showing he can change the tempo late in an innings. His all-round impact has continued beyond that level, including during the Maharashtra Premier League, where he contributed several quick cameos—among them a 52 off 33 deliveries.
While his reputation has been built primarily on bowling discipline, Ghosh’s game is built around precision rather than sheer speed. He tends to lean on accurate lines, seam-friendly movement and steady spell construction, aiming to keep hitters uncomfortable across overs.
His recent first-class form has reinforced his value to a team that needs control in the middle overs. In the 2024-25 Ranji Trophy season, he took 11 wickets in six matches, often operating as a stabilising option within Maharashtra’s attack.
