Kolkata Knight Riders wicketkeeper-batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi has been ruled out of the 2026 Indian Premier League after suffering a concussion along with a fracture to a finger on his left hand. The injury occurred when he was attempting a catch during KKR’s match against Mumbai Indians at Eden Gardens on Wednesday.
KKR said in an official statement that Raghuvanshi has been eliminated from the remainder of the 2026 season following the concussion and the left-hand finger fracture picked up while trying to take a catch in the Kolkata Knight Riders vs Mumbai Indians game on Wednesday, 20 May.
KKR, who sit in sixth place in the points table with 13 points from six victories, the same number of defeats and one match abandoned without a result, have already been ruled out of the playoff picture for this season.
The three-time IPL champions will wrap up their league campaign against Delhi Capitals, who are also out of contention, in Kolkata on Sunday.
The 21-year-old Raghuvanshi has enjoyed a productive tournament so far, ending the IPL with 422 runs across 13 matches. He struck at 146.52, including five half-centuries, and averaged 42.20.
