MI sign Krish Bhagat as Atharva Ankolekar injury replacement

Mumbai Indians have moved to strengthen their squad by signing 21-year-old Punjab all-rounder Krish Bhagat as a replacement for Atharva Ankolekar, who has been ruled out of the IPL because of an injury that has not been specified. Krish Bhagat is primarily a right-arm fast bowler, but he can also contribute with the bat when needed in the lower order. He has played seven first-class matches and nine List-A games for Punjab, giving him exposure across India’s domestic pathways. Bhagat had attended MI’s trials for the previous two seasons, and this year he was already part of the setup as a net bowler, before earning the opportunity to be signed for the IPL.
