SL Women Name Chethana Vimukthi in Squad After Gimhani Back Injury

Sri Lanka have named right-arm fast bowler Chethana Vimukthi in their squad for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, taking the place of Shashini Gimhani. Gimhani, an ambidextrous wrist-spinner who is 17 years old, had to withdraw after injuring her lower back during a training session.
