Pietersen responded promptly, adding a travel-related twist. \u201cYes please. It is closer to Maldives. Easier travel for me,\u201d he replied.<\/p>\n
Once Pietersen\u2019s message landed, Delhi Capitals entered the conversation by tagging KL Rahul. The tag was not random: Pietersen and Rahul had developed a friendly rapport in the previous season, with the duo frequently seen exchanging banter.<\/p>\n
During IPL 2025, Pietersen was in fact appointed as a mentor for Delhi Capitals.
