Rajasthan Royals extended their commanding form in the Indian Premier League 2026 with a 27-run win over Mumbai Indians in a rain-affected contest at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Tuesday. The game was reduced to an 11-over-per-side format, but the Royals still set a target that proved far too steep for their opponents.<\/p>\n

  1. Rajasthan started aggressively after opting to bat, with Yashasvi Jaiswal striking 22 runs in the opening over against Deepak Chahar.<\/li>\n
  2. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi then took on Jasprit Bumrah, dispatching the bowler for two sixes in a bold spell.<\/li>\n
  3. Jaiswal kept the pressure on by hitting Trent Boult for consecutive sixes, helping Rajasthan reach 50 runs in only 16 deliveries.<\/li>\n
  4. Sooryavanshi\u2019s explosive innings came to an end when Shardul Thakur caught him near the boundary.<\/li>\n

    3. Suryakumar Yadav managed a brief show of intent with a six, but he was dismissed soon after by Nandre Burger, leaving Mumbai at 20\/2.<\/li>\n
    4. Sandeep Sharma then delivered a major turning point by trapping Rohit Sharma lbw; it was the sixth time Sandeep has dismissed the Mumbai captain in IPL matches.<\/li>\n
    5. Ravi Bishnoi struck again, removing both Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma in quick succession and effectively ending Mumbai\u2019s chances.<\/li>\n
