Former India captain Kris Srikkanth was among the loudest critics of Jadeja\u2019s omission, describing it in stark terms. The Royals did not push toward a bigger score despite an encouraging start from the top, and Parag\u2019s choice to hand Donovan Ferreira the 18th over further underlined the concern that Rajasthan lacked a dependable bowling option at the decisive stage. In Jadeja\u2019s place, Rajasthan turned to 24-year-old Ravi Singh, who was making his IPL debut.
