The BCCI has unveiled a detailed domestic cricket calendar for the 2026-27 season, spanning age-group competitions as well as men\u2019s and women\u2019s cricket. As the schedule begins, the Duleep Trophy will kick off the year\u2019s domestic action, running from August 23 to September 10 at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru.<\/p>\n
Next on the calendar is the Irani Cup, with Srinagar set to host the contest from October 1 to October 5. A week later, the Ranji Trophy Elite will commence with its first phase on October 11, continuing until November 5, before returning for the second phase from January 17 to February 4. The Ranji Trophy Elite knockouts are then scheduled to take place between February 9 and March 3.<\/p>\n
For the Plate segment of the Ranji Trophy, the second phase will finish earlier, ending on January 20, while the final is set for January 24 to January 28. The Col. CK Nayudu Trophy will also be conducted in two phases, following the same broader structure across the domestic circuit.<\/p>\n
In its release, the BCCI also highlighted the return of a key fixture: \u201cThe upcoming season will witness the reinstatement of the Col. C.K. Nayudu Trophy Winners vs Rest of India fixture, scheduled from 1st to 4th October 2026. The match returns to the domestic calendar to provide an enhanced competitive platform for emerging U23 cricketers.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Elite will then move into its league stage, with Mumbai, Vizag, Kolkata and Mohali hosting matches from November 14 to November 26. The knockout phase is scheduled from November 30 to December 6 in Nagpur. In the Plate category of the competition, the league stage will conclude four days ahead of the Elite finish, on November 22, and the Plate final is set for November 24. All matches in the Plate competition will be staged in Dimapur.<\/p>\n
After that, domestic cricket returns to Bengaluru, which is among the venues\u2014alongside Ahmedabad, Ranchi and Rajkot\u2014for the Vijay Hazare Trophy Elite. This tournament is slated to run from December 14 to December 29, before the knockout stage shifts to Vizag from January 2 to January 8. For the Plate edition of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, the league stage ends five days earlier on December 24, and the final will be played on December 27, with all fixtures taking place in Indore.<\/p>\n
In a major scheduling update, the knockouts of the Cooch Behar Trophy (Elite) will be held across Bengaluru and Mysuru from January 3 to January 30. The Senior Women\u2019s T20 Trophy Elite will take place from October 26 to November 6 in Lucknow, Pune, Delhi and Mohali, with knockouts scheduled in Ahmedabad from November 14 to November 20.<\/p>\n
The Plate division of the Senior Women\u2019s T20 Trophy will be played in Dimapur until November 2, with the final scheduled for November 4. The Women\u2019s One Day Trophy Elite will follow a later window, running from December 19 to December 31 across Cuttack, Jaipur, Baroda and Raipur, with the knockout matches scheduled in Chennai from January 4 to January 10. For the Plate division of that tournament, the league stage will finish on December 27, and the final will be held on December 29, with both stages taking place in Kolkata.<\/p>\n
The BCCI has also decided to switch formats in the under-23 pathway, converting the Men\u2019s U23 State A Trophy and the Vizzy Trophy from One Day events into T20 tournaments.
