Vaibhav Suryavanshi sent out a loud message on Tuesday evening: he was not going to let a big-name bowler intimidate him. The 15-year-old took the very first ball he faced from Jasprit Bumrah and deposited it for a six, and he followed it up with another maximum in the same over\u2014an assault that left Bumrah, the rest of the field, and the crowd visibly rattled.<\/p>\n

RR vs MI: Suryavanshi\u2019s burst and Bumrah\u2019s rare drought<\/h2>\n

  1. In the RR vs MI clash at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Tuesday night, Suryavanshi stole the spotlight with a rapid 14-ball 39 that became the defining moment early in the chase.<\/li>\n
  2. His fireworks came alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal\u2019s match-winning contribution of 77 not out off 32 deliveries, in a rain-truncated game that ended up turning into a home win for Rajasthan.<\/li>\n
  3. With the match reduced to a target of 150, Mumbai Indians were never able to keep up with the tempo established by Rajasthan\u2019s top order.<\/li>\n
  4. MI ultimately fell short, finishing on 123\/9 and suffering their second defeat of the season.<\/li>\n
  5. Rajasthan\u2019s early acceleration was powered by the two youngsters: they raced to 80 runs in the opening five overs, putting Mumbai under immediate pressure.<\/li>\n
  6. From the bowling perspective, the night was tough across the board. Every MI bowler except Hardik Pandya leaked more than 10 runs in their respective overs.<\/li>\n
  7. Deepak Chahar and Trent Boult each conceded 22 runs in their only overs, while Bumrah initially looked controlled before being hit in the middle phase.<\/li>\n
  8. After giving away 14 runs in his first over, Bumrah allowed 18 runs across his next two.<\/li>\n
  9. Shardul Thakur went for 36 in his second over, and the impact player Allah Ghazanfar was also taken for 21 in his two balls\/overs stint as described in the match summary.<\/li>\n
  10. Hardik Pandya, in contrast, returned figures of 2-0-17-0, but it was not enough to arrest the momentum.<\/li>\n
