To find parallels, you have to go back to the kind of prodigy moments that don\u2019t come often. Sachin Tendulkar, for instance, was similarly youthful when he arrived on the international stage at 16 and took on Wasim Akram, Imran Khan and Waqar Younis. Ahead of Wednesday\u2019s Eliminator, during a game of touch football with his friends, he spotted Sunil Gavaskar out in the field doing broadcast work. Sooryavanshi immediately sprinted over, touched Gavaskar\u2019s feet to seek his blessings, and then repeated the gesture with Sanjay Bangar. For a 15-year-old, he\u2019s already showing traits that many older, more seasoned players struggle to develop. Untouched\u2014at least for now\u2014by praise, and seemingly unaffected by all the attention. Just a teenager doing things that even wiser, more experienced men can hardly imagine.
