Chasing a target of 182, LSG looked under pressure at 128 for 7 after 16 overs, but the 21-year-old took charge with a late surge that included 2 fours and 7 sixes.<\/p>\n

  1. With LSG needing momentum, Choudhary launched a surge in the 17th over bowled by Vaibhav Arora, clearing the boundary twice.<\/li>\n
  2. In the 18th over, against Kartik Tyagi, he struck two more sixes to shift the chase firmly in LSG\u2019s favour.<\/li>\n
  3. The impact grew further in the 19th over delivered by Cameron Green, where he smashed two sixes and added a four.<\/li>\n
  4. In the final over, he struck again\u2014hitting two more sixes off Vaibhav\u2014to reach his half-century and seal the win.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Speaking at the post-match presentation, Choudhary opened up about how his cricket journey began, explaining that his father\u2019s dream was for his son to play the sport even before his own family circumstances had fully settled. He said he entered the age-group circuit, though the lack of strong academies in Sikkim meant he developed by playing matches in Delhi and Gurugram. He also recalled that in a game against UP Under-19, despite it being a low-scoring affair, he made a meaningful contribution and felt that was when people began to believe he could go far. He added that it was only his second match at that stage.<\/p>\n

    Choudhary further described how he approached his innings with intent. He said that while pressure can come with such moments, it also offers the chance to establish himself. His plan, he stated, was to bat through the end overs and see what the ball would allow. He highlighted the special feeling of finally hitting a six, noting that he had not managed one in his previous two games, and said he was mentally prepared for one of the balls to come into the right area. He also admitted that from his younger days he enjoyed clearing the ropes rather than playing along the ground, a mindset that clearly paid off in Kolkata.<\/p>\n

    Who is Mukul Choudhary?<\/h2>\n

    Mukul Choudhary is a domestic cricket player from Rajasthan who was snapped up for Rs 2.6 crore in the IPL 2026 auction following a fierce bidding contest between Lucknow Super Giants and the Rajasthan Royals.<\/p>\n

    He made his first-class debut against Chhattisgarh in January 2023. Across four matches, he amassed 103 runs with a best score of 45. In T20 cricket, his debut came against Jharkhand in October 2023, where he scored 35 as an opener. In total, he has compiled 226 runs in seven T20 matches at an average of 37.66, with a highest score of 62 not out.<\/p>\n

    Choudhary started out as a medium pacer before transitioning into wicketkeeping, later earning attention for his aggressive batting. One of the biggest reasons for his high valuation was his performance in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, where he delivered standout form.
