Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) edged past Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in a dramatic last-ball encounter at Eden Gardens on Thursday, and the impact of a few key contributions has begun to show in this season\u2019s individual contests. With 15 matches now completed, here is a snapshot of the leading performers so far, covering both the Orange Cap and Purple Cap races.<\/p>\n

Orange Cap leaderboard<\/h2>\n

Rajasthan Royals (RR) batter Yashasvi Jaiswal remains at the summit with 170 runs, while Delhi Capitals (DC) top-order batter Sameer Rizvi sits just behind on 160. However, KKR\u2019s young Angkrish Raghuvanshi has climbed to third after making 45 against LSG. Raghuvanshi has now accumulated 155 runs across four innings, posting a batting average of 51.66 and a strike rate of 158.16.<\/p>\n

Sunrisers Hyderabad\u2019s Heinrich Klaasen holds on to the fourth spot in the run-scoring charts, while KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane has entered the top five. Rahane struck 41 off 24 deliveries versus LSG, lifting his tally to 124 runs in four innings. His current average reads 41.33 and his strike rate is 155.<\/p>\n

Six other batters have already crossed the 100-run mark this season, including Punjab Kings\u2019 22-year-old all-rounder Cooper Connolly. Connolly has made 108 runs over two innings and has been dismissed once, striking at 163.63.<\/p>\n

Purple Cap leaderboard<\/h2>\n

Ravi Bishnoi, also representing RR, is leading the wicket-taking standings. He has claimed seven wickets in three matches, with an average of 11.71 and an economy rate of 9.11. Right behind him are two Gujarat Titans (GT) bowlers: Prasidh Krishna, in second place with six wickets at 20.66, and Rashid Khan, who occupies third after returning figures of 3 for 17 against DC just two nights earlier. Rashid has five wickets at an average of 17 as he looks to recover from a less productive previous season.<\/p>\n

Beyond Rashid, seven other bowlers sit on five wickets apiece. Among them are LSG\u2019s Prince Yadav and KKR\u2019s Vaibhav Arora. Yadav took a wicket on Thursday, while Arora finished with 2 for 38.<\/p>\n
