Ashok Sharma has arrived as a genuine pace weapon for Gujarat Titans, turning heads in IPL 2026 with two separate deliveries clocked over 150 kmph against Rajasthan Royals on Saturday. In the 16th over, he struck first with a 150.7 kmph ball on the fourth delivery to Donovan Ferreira, before unleashing a 154.2 kmph scorcher on the last ball of the same over aimed at Dhruv Jurel.<\/p>\n

That burst pushed Ashok into rare company in the tournament\u2019s speed charts. He currently owns the quickest and the third-fastest deliveries of IPL 2026, while Anrich Nortje of Lucknow Super Giants sits second with a 150.9 kmph effort.<\/p>\n

RR chase and Titans\u2019 speed story<\/h2>\n

  1. Rajasthan Royals set out to post a tough target of 210 for 6, with the chase-building coming largely from the middle and top-order after Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi provided an early platform.<\/li>\n
  2. Sooryavanshi struck quickly in the opening phase, smashing 31 off 18 deliveries as part of a 70-run start inside the first 6.2 overs.<\/li>\n
  3. Jaiswal then looked to regain full rhythm, scoring 55 off 36 balls, helping RR keep momentum after the initial burst.<\/li>\n
  4. Dhruv Jurel settled into the No. 3 role and blended traditional shot selection with an aggressive tempo, ensuring the scoring stayed above 150 in strike rate.<\/li>\n
  5. Jurel finished with 75 from 42 balls and guided Rajasthan to the final scoreline of 210 for 6.<\/li>\n
  6. After reaching his fifty, Jurel produced a pick-up pull off Ashok Sharma that stood out, a shot that highlighted strong balance and sharp hand-eye coordination.<\/li>\n
  7. In his innings, Jurel struck five sixes and the same number of fours, with a highlight that came when he hit a six off Rashid Khan by going down the track and finding deep mid-wicket.<\/li>\n
