Chennai Super Kings, meanwhile, posted 212 and then held their nerve to limit Delhi Capitals to 189. The runs didn\u2019t come without impact at the other end either, as wicket-taking moments helped reshape the season\u2019s Orange Cap and Purple Cap standings.<\/p>\n
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi remains the leading run-getter in the Orange Cap race and is still the only batter to have reached the 200-run milestone so far in the IPL season. However, his closest challengers shifted after Saturday\u2019s action, with Rajasthan Royals opening partner Yashasvi Jaiswal dropping to third place. Heinrich Klaasen, who bats for SRH at No. 4, moved up into the frame with a productive day at the crease.<\/p>\n
Klaasen\u2019s batting form has stayed consistent, and on Saturday he struck 39 off 33 balls. That knock added to his season tally of 31, 52 and 62 in earlier innings, taking him to 184 runs for the campaign\u2014one more than Jaiswal.<\/p>\n
For Delhi Capitals, Sameer Rizvi endured another outing that didn\u2019t quite go his way, but his overall run of form still kept him in contention. He finished with 70 not out and also recorded 90 in his first two innings, leaving him in the top five at No. 5 with 166 runs. Between Rizvi and Jaiswal sits Dhruv Jurel of RR.<\/p>\n
Saturday also brought upward movement for a number of batters from the winning sides. Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer climbed to eighth on the back of 137 runs, highlighted by an unbeaten 69 in PBKS\u2019 victory over SRH. Just behind him are Sanju Samson of CSK and Ayush Mhatre, with Samson also on 137 and Mhatre registering 133.<\/p>\n
The Purple Cap conversation tightened as wicket counts shifted across teams. Anshul Kamboj of CSK sits directly in between Ravi Bishnoi of Lucknow Super Giants and Prasidh Krishna of Gujarat Titans on the current wicket-taking chart. Kamboj\u2019s returns on Saturday were his best of the season so far, as he collected 3 wickets for 35 runs. More importantly, the right time to strike has been consistent\u2014he has taken at least one wicket in each of his outings so far.<\/p>\n
With eight wickets in total, Kamboj is one behind Bishnoi and two ahead of Krishna.<\/p>\n
Behind Krishna, with five wickets, there is a wider group chasing the next breakthrough, with ten bowlers currently positioned at that mark. They include CSK\u2019s Jamie Overton, PBKS\u2019 Vijaykumar Vyshak, Rashid Khan from Krishna\u2019s side, Lungi Ngidi of DC, and Prince Yadav of LSG. Also in the same wicket bracket are Jacob Duffy of RCB, Vaibhav Arora of KKR, SRH\u2019s Harsh Dubey, and two additional RR bowlers\u2014Jofra Archer and Nandre Burger.<\/p>\n
