Samson struck at the right moments alongside Ayush Mhatre, with a second-wicket partnership of 113 powering CSK to 212 for two. Delhi Capitals, meanwhile, were repeatedly thwarted by Jamie Overton, who produced a match-turning spell of 4\/18, as the visitors ultimately finished on 189 all out.<\/p>\n

Samson\u2019s return to his best<\/h2>\n

  1. The knock marked Samson\u2019s first big innings for CSK in IPL 2026 and followed the rhythm he had shown during the T20 World Cup 2026, where he had struck three consecutive half-centuries.<\/li>\n
  2. After reaching his fourth IPL century, Samson was asked by former India head coach Ravi Shastri about finally getting \u201cthe monkey off his back\u201d.<\/li>\n
