Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are set to take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Wednesday, following a disappointing home loss to Gujarat Titans in IPL 2026. LSG currently sit sixth in the standings, having collected two wins and two defeats from their first four matches of the campaign.<\/p>\n

  1. LSG were coming off a match where they posted 164\/8 in their 20 overs against Gujarat Titans.<\/li>\n
  2. In reply, Gujarat chased down 165 with ease, reaching 165\/3 in 18.4 overs at Ekana Stadium on Sunday.<\/li>\n
  3. After the result, LSG captain Rishabh Pant acknowledged that the side did not get enough runs on the board in a chase-friendly situation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In the aftermath of the game, Arjun Tendulkar\u2014son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar\u2014was seen at the airport alongside his Lucknow Super Giants teammates. He was accompanied by his sister Sara Tendulkar and his wife Saaniya Chandhok as the squad shifted to Bengaluru for the next fixture.<\/p>\n

    Sara and Saaniya had also been spotted in the stands earlier in Lucknow, cheering for LSG during their match versus Gujarat Titans. Arjun had tied the knot with Saaniya in a grand ceremony in Mumbai on March 5, 2026. This season, he is part of the Lucknow Super Giants squad after being picked up for Rs 30 lakh at the IPL 2026 auction.<\/p>\n

    What Rishabh Pant said after the defeat<\/h2>\n

    Rishabh Pant admitted that LSG fell short with the bat in the loss to Gujarat Titans. He said, essentially, that the target was not sufficient and that the bowling had been competitive, but the score on a wicket like that remained a concern.<\/p>\n

    He added that in such conditions, totals in the region of 170 to 180 typically make a strong case, but the match swung as wickets kept falling and Gujarat were able to apply pressure to force those breakthroughs. Pant also pointed out that while LSG created moments in the game, they failed to make the most of them when it mattered.<\/p>\n

    Despite the setback, Pant backed the batting group, stressing that the tournament is still at an early stage and there is no reason for panic. He expressed confidence that the more experienced members of the squad would rise to the challenge in the upcoming matches, noting that the pressure on senior players is not necessary because they know how to handle situations at this level.<\/p>\n
