The proposal is also being framed as part of a wider, reciprocal cricketing concept\u2014one that could potentially see Australia\u2019s Big Bash League (BBL) schedule a game in Chennai, strengthening ties between the two franchise ecosystems.<\/p>\n

Why Adelaide Oval believes it can make it work<\/h2>\n

Adelaide Oval has been positioning itself as a year-round global venue and has already indicated interest in hosting the final of the 2028 ICC Men\u2019s T20 World Cup. Officials feel that landing an IPL match at the ground would add another major international milestone for the city and further lift its profile with worldwide audiences.<\/p>\n

Discussions have also reached the political and administrative level. South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas and federal trade representatives have reportedly been consulted on a non-binding basis.
