The next season saw Lasith Malinga claim top honours with 28 wickets for Mumbai Indians in 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Morne Morkel\u2019s 25-wicket haul powered him to the purple cap in 2012 for Delhi Daredevils. The following year, Dwayne Bravo exploded for 32 wickets with Chennai Super Kings to become the standout wicket-getter of the season.<\/p>\n<p>Mohit Sharma then grabbed the award in 2014, taking 23 wickets for Chennai Super Kings. Bravo returned again in 2015, adding 26 wickets to his name for the same franchise.<\/p>\n<h3>Back-to-back momentum for key wicket-takers<\/h3>\n<p>Bhuvneshwar Kumar carried Sunrisers Hyderabad\u2019s pace attack to the purple cap in 2016 with 23 wickets. He went one better in 2017, finishing on 26 to retain the top wicket-taker tag.<\/p>\n<p>Andrew Tye ended the 2018 season as the leading wicket-taker, collecting 24 wickets for Kings XI Punjab. In 2019, Imran Tahir took 26 wickets for Chennai Super Kings to claim the prize.<\/p>\n<p>Kagiso Rabada raised the bar in 2020 with 30 wickets for Delhi Capitals.
