Rubel\u2019s last appearance for Bangladesh at international level came in 2021. Rubel also highlighted the role of his coach, Sarwar Imran, in shaping his career. He credited the coach with spotting and developing his ability after Rubel was identified through the Paceman Hunt initiative.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is one person I must single out – my respected coach Sarwar Imran, who played an extraordinary role in my career. I will carry that debt of gratitude with me for the rest of my life,\u201d Rubel added.<\/p>\n
Across his international career, Rubel featured in 27 Tests, 104 ODIs, and 28 T20I matches, finishing with 193 wickets in total. The most defining moments of that journey came during the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup, when he delivered in a crucial run of spells against England.<\/p>\n
At the World Cup, two wickets taken in consecutive deliveries against England helped swing the contest decisively, contributing to a landmark Bangladesh win and pushing the team into the knockout stage.
