The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has prioritised medical assessment, workload management and readiness for the next major Test engagement, even if it means skipping upcoming franchise commitments.<\/p>\n<h2>Decisions on senior and fast-bowling options<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Mustafizur Rahman, one of Bangladesh\u2019s more experienced pacers, is currently dealing with an injury concern.<\/li>\n<li>After review by the team\u2019s medical staff, he has been advised to undergo an immediate scan.<\/li>\n<li>Following the imaging, Mustafizur will begin a rehabilitation plan under the supervision of the BCB\u2019s medical team.<\/li>\n<li>Because of this development, the BCB has withdrawn the No Objection Certificate (NOC) that had previously permitted him to take part in PSL 2026.<\/li>\n<li>As a result, Mustafizur will not be available for the remainder of PSL 2026, with the board aiming to ensure he is fully fit for national duties rather than taking any risk of further aggravation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The BCB has taken a similar stance with younger quick Nahid Rana as well. The board has decided not to release him for PSL 2026, preferring instead to provide him with adequate time to prepare for the forthcoming Test series against Pakistan. Collectively, these choices underline Bangladesh\u2019s approach to managing bowling workloads carefully and protecting critical fast-bowling resources ahead of international cricket.<\/p>\n<h2>Bangladesh name squad for T20Is vs New Zealand<\/h2>\n<p>Alongside the fitness decisions, Bangladesh have announced the group for the opening two T20 Internationals against New Zealand, with the first match scheduled to begin on April 27 in Chattogram.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Senior pacers including Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed and Nahid Rana have been rested.<\/li>\n<li>With those experienced options unavailable, the selectors have decided to give opportunities to emerging players and fresh faces.<\/li>\n<li>All-rounder Abdul Gaffar Saqlain has earned his maiden T20I call-up, adding depth in batting while also offering a pace option.<\/li>\n<li>Pacer Ripon Mondal has also been included, with his performances\u2014particularly his effectiveness in
