The same report also claimed that Dhoni has shared this reasoning with the management.<\/p>\n<p>With Sanju Samson doing well behind the stumps, Dhoni\u2019s hesitation appears even stronger, particularly regarding returning to the gloves for the franchise. The biggest thing is he has had a calf injury, so just the running and later in the innings when he comes in, having to scamper the ones and twos, we just need to make sure the calf is strong to withstand that,\u201d Hussey said.<\/p>\n<h2>CSK\u2019s position in IPL 2026<\/h2>\n<p>Going into the match, Chennai Super Kings are placed fifth in the IPL 2026 standings, having collected 6 points from 7 games.
