How did RCB wallop 250?<\/b> Bengaluru\u2019s innings started in an unusual fashion after they were asked to bat first by CSK. Neither Phil Salt nor Virat Kohli looked fully comfortable with the timing early on, and the lack of boundaries during the first three overs felt out of character even as both batters tried to play their way into rhythm. Kohli finally found relief on 7 before Shivam Dube steadied matters at long-on. RCB did reach 51 during the Powerplay, but Salt then began to quicken the pace, while Devdutt Padikkal struggled for consistency and looked scratchy. Still, Bengaluru were in a strong position at the halfway mark, sitting at 91\/1. The scoring kept building after that, with Padikkal reaching a fifty before Tim David arrived and turned the innings into a demolition job at the Chinnaswamy. However, after that, the execution slipped. Kamboj remained the one bowler trying to stick to a plan, repeatedly going for wide yorkers from around the wicket, but Noor served a length that was too inviting for David, and Overton offered too many balls in the slot\u2014each one punished to the boundary.<\/p>\n
How did CSK start with the bat?<\/b> Chennai\u2019s chase began with a statement shot: a six in the opening over off Ruturaj Gaikwad\u2019s blade. But the early promise didn\u2019t last. Gaikwad and Sanju Samson both got out with little indication of the footwork required to settle in, and Ayush Mhatre also departed early. Prashant Veer, one of CSK\u2019s major auction signings, also showed encouraging signs after a slow start. He hit cleanly off Krunal Pandya and, after making a late adjustment by shifting his stance, struck through the mid-wicket region as the standout moment in his innings. He has yet to bowl after two matches, but a score of 43 would still reinforce confidence among CSK\u2019s scouts about their decision regarding Ravindra Jadeja\u2019s potential successor. Overton, too, contributed with timing earlier in the season, and his ability to hit with power was reflected again by the way he played during this match.<\/p>\n
