Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill praised the side\u2019s intensity and body language after an early wobble against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The contest swung briefly towards RCB at the start, but Gujarat regrouped quickly and went on to deliver a clinical bowling display to win convincingly.<\/p>\n

Momentum swings and Gujarat\u2019s comeback<\/h2>\n

  1. GT began the match slightly under pressure before RCB\u2019s Virat Kohli struck in a destructive burst during the second over.<\/li>\n
  2. Kohli attacked Kagiso Rabada with five straight boundaries, immediately shifting the feel of the game and putting the Titans on the back foot.<\/li>\n
  3. Gujarat refused to let that momentum carry further, responding with renewed purpose after the early assault.<\/li>\n
  4. In the very next over, Rabada turned the tide by dismissing Kohli, restoring balance and lifting the energy in the field.<\/li>\n
  5. From there, RCB\u2019s innings steadily unravelled as wickets kept falling at regular intervals.<\/li>\n
  6. RCB were eventually bowled out for 155, unable to make it through their full allocation of 20 overs.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The Titans\u2019 bowlers applied sustained pressure, particularly during the middle phases. Jason Holder, Rashid Khan and Arshad Khan were all economical, preventing RCB from building any rhythm and tightening the screws as the innings progressed\u2014leaving the match firmly in Gujarat\u2019s favour.<\/p>\n

    Gill was visibly pleased with how disciplined GT were after securing the win, describing the performance as especially satisfying on a wicket that required patience and precision.<\/p>\n

    \u201cFeels very satisfying, you know, on a wicket like this, restricting a team like them under 160 was a tremendous job by the bowlers,\u201d Gill said during the post-match presentation.<\/p>\n

    The captain also pointed to the early spell of play as a crucial moment that could have tipped the contest the other way. He specifically referenced Kohli\u2019s aggressive start, which forced GT to absorb an early setback and then regroup quickly.<\/p>\n

    \u201cI think our fielding was one of the things, it's something I think at phases, we haven't fielded that well in the game. And I think today was one of those days, everyone came together. The energy in the field was very, very nice, especially after the second over, Virat bhai hit us for some runs and how we all came back together. That was very crucial for us,\u201d Gill added.<\/p>\n

    Gill\u2019s quickfire chase and the turning of the match<\/h2>\n

    Gill\u2019s contribution wasn\u2019t limited to leadership\u2014he also stamped authority in the chase with a rapid start that effectively dampened RCB\u2019s hopes. Taking the attack straight to Josh Hazlewood, the GT skipper set the tone early with fearless strokeplay, racing to 43 off just 18 balls and ensuring the required rate never became a concern.<\/p>\n

    That aggressive intent at the top provided the foundation for Gujarat to cruise towards the target well inside 16 overs.<\/p>\n

    Speaking about his approach, Gill revealed it was not driven by a pre-planned script, but by trusting his instincts as soon as he found his rhythm.<\/p>\n

    \u201cHonestly, not really. I was just feeling like I was in the zone and on the first ball, I got a bit lucky. And the second one, I got in my zone, so I was like, okay, maybe today's my day, you know. I was feeling really well. I was feeling confident.
