That attitude stood out during an unexpected incident when one of his shots accidentally struck a member of the venue team.<\/p>\n<h2>Rohit\u2019s return from injury and MI\u2019s training call<\/h2>\n<p>With Mumbai Indians effectively fighting for survival in the tournament, the franchise chose to skip Sunday\u2019s optional practice session. Rohit, despite not being fully fit, still made the effort to be present at training.<\/p>\n<p>The right-hander has been dealing with a hamstring problem and has been limited to four appearances so far. While he has looked close to returning on multiple occasions, the final stage of recovery is still ongoing, leaving his match readiness unclear.<\/p>\n<p>Whether Rohit will be available for Mumbai\u2019s clash against Lucknow Super Giants remains to be seen. Even if he does not take the field, his character and on-field professionalism were unmistakable in the aftermath of the groundstaff injury.<\/p>\n<h2>Groundstaff Siban Biswas describes the moment<\/h2>\n<p>After the incident, groundstaff member Siban Biswas, 27, revealed how the ball came to hit his left knee. Biswas explained that Rohit had instructed the staff to remove the off-side net. Biswas and the others complied and then stood to the side, but during that period the ball struck him on his knee.<\/p>\n<h3>What Biswas said Rohit did<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Biswas said Rohit immediately asked about his injury once he realized what had happened.<\/li>\n<li>Biswas told Rohit to keep batting and not to worry about him.<\/li>\n<li>Rohit returned with an ice pack for Biswas.<\/li>\n<li>He also arranged for someone to provide medicine and a spray for the leg.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Other IPL injury incidents and Biswas\u2019 handshake moment<\/h2>\n<p>Biswas\u2019 experience reflects how injuries can occur even off the main action. Just last month, an older spectator, Krishan Chand\u2014aged 62\u2014was hit in the face by a six struck by Priyansh Arya. Chand was left bloodied, and Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta later reached out to him. She extended an invite for the fan to watch a PBKS match in Dharamsala.<\/p>\n<p>For Biswas, however, the emotions were mixed after his own moment with Rohit. Pain from the knee injury came alongside an unforgettable personal highlight when he got the chance to shake hands with the star.<\/p>\n<h3>\u201cMixed feelings\u201d for Biswas<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Biswas described having mixed emotions\u2014his knee hurt, but the incident ended with a handshake with Rohit.<\/li>\n<li>He added that meeting Rohit sir and getting that gesture felt good despite the pain.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>MI\u2019s playoff pressure with LSG looming<\/h2>\n<p>On the points table, Mumbai Indians are currently placed ninth in IPL 2026. Their record stands at two wins from nine matches, keeping them on the edge as the league stage approaches its crucial phase. Lucknow Super Giants sit at the bottom of the table, with MI just above them.<\/p>\n<p>Whatever happens on Monday, one of the two franchises is expected to slip out of Playoff contention.
