The setback arrived when he was batting for CSK against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 18, and it subsequently kept him from continuing through the tournament.<\/p>\n<p>CSK later posted that the injury would need a rehabilitation window of about six to twelve weeks, and wished him a speedy recovery. The club\u2019s message underlined that the process would take time and that Mhatre would need proper conditioning before returning.<\/p>\n<p>CSK batting coach Mike Hussey had also spoken about the impact, describing it as a tough situation. He said Mhatre was in \u201creally nice touch\u201d and that his absence would be a major loss for the team.<\/p>\n<p>Before the injury curtailed his run, Mhatre contributed 201 runs across six IPL 2026 innings, striking at 177.87.
