Iyer also singled out Cooper Connolly for praise, crediting him for keeping Punjab\u2019s hopes alive for most of the chase. He described Connolly\u2019s approach as fearless and mentally sharp, noting the character the batter brings to the field. \u201cHe\u2019s phenomenal. His mindset is top notch and the character he brings onto the field. It\u2019s something that all players can learn from him. And apart from that, I feel that he\u2019s got a knack of scoring big runs in pressure situations. He has done it in the past and today was the right example. He was fearless and his attitude was fantastic against left-handers,\u201d Iyer said, specifically referencing the challenge posed by left-arm bowling.<\/p>\n
While Connolly\u2019s century was the standout highlight for PBKS, Iyer admitted that Punjab\u2019s inability to take chances during the match altered the outcome.
