Rohit Sharma is ready to take on a new kind of spotlight, with a television debut set to add yet another highlight to his long-running cricketing and public-life success. A fresh teaser featuring the former India captain was released on Friday, sparking strong curiosity among fans about what\u2019s next for one of Indian sport\u2019s most recognisable voices.<\/p>\n

The short promo presents Rohit in an entirely different look, hinting at a new chapter beyond the boundary line. While the production team has not revealed the complete details yet, the show\u2019s title and its full structure are expected to be announced soon through Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV.<\/p>\n

The development arrives as Rohit remains among the biggest names in Indian cricket. During IPL 2026, he continues to represent Mumbai Indians and has had a productive stretch so far, collecting 221 runs across five matches. That tally has come at an average of 55.25, with a strike rate of 174.01, including two half-centuries. His best score in the ongoing season stands at 84.<\/p>\n

From debut to global captaincy: Rohit\u2019s record run<\/h2>\n

  3. He has also delivered major moments on India\u2019s biggest stages, winning the T20 World Cup in 2024 as captain after previously lifting the Champions Trophy and the T20 World Cup as a player.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Rohit stepped away from T20 Internationals after India\u2019s T20 World Cup success in 2024. In the format, he is still India\u2019s leading run-getter, having made 4,231 runs in 159 matches, including five centuries.<\/p>\n

    He later moved on from Test cricket as well, after scoring 4,301 runs in 67 Tests. His Test record includes 12 centuries, with a highest score of 212.<\/p>\n

    ODI focus and a century-making reputation<\/h2>\n

    With the 2027 World Cup now firmly in view, Rohit has continued to operate primarily in ODI cricket and has maintained strong consistency. In 282 ODIs, he has scored 11,577 runs, featuring 33 centuries. He also holds the world record for three double hundreds. His famous 264 is still the top individual ODI score of all time.<\/p>\n
