Under the league\u2019s disciplinary system, David will face a one-match suspension if he earns a further demerit point.<\/p>\n<h3>Quick facts<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Tim David was issued two demerit points for a Level 1 code of conduct breach.<\/li>\n<li>The incident occurred during RCB\u2019s match against Mumbai Indians in Raipur on May 10.<\/li>\n<li>David will be suspended if he collects one more demerit point.<\/li>\n<li>David was fined 30% of his applicable match fee for an obscene, offensive, or insulting gesture.<\/li>\n<li>RCB head coach Andy Flower was fined 15% of his applicable match fee for an audible obscenity during the same game.<\/li>\n<li>RCB\u2019s win moved them to the top of the points table with 14 points from 11 matches.<\/li>\n<li>RCB are level on points with Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans, but hold a lower net run-rate than the defending champions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>David was also fined 30% of his relevant match fee for \u201cusing a gesture that is obscene, offensive or insulting.\u201d The batter accepted the sanction, admitting to the offence after it was taken up by the match referee, Amit Sharma.<\/p>\n<p>It was not the only disciplinary action linked to the Raipur contest. David became the second member of the RCB camp to be penalised following the game versus Mumbai Indians.<\/p>\n<p>RCB head coach Andy Flower received a separate fine of 15% of his applicable match fee. The breach was described as \u201cuse of an audible obscenity,\u201d which was said to have occurred when Flower spoke aggressively with the fourth umpire.<\/p>\n<p>On the field, RCB\u2019s performance in the same fixture proved decisive. After defeating Mumbai Indians on Sunday, the franchise jumped to the summit of the standings.<\/p>\n<p>With the win, RCB now sit on 14 points from 11 matches.
