On the field, Punjab Kings were put in to bat first and posted 210 runs at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala. Priyansh Arya struck 56 off 33 balls, while Prabhsimran Singh made 18, and together they added 78 runs off 41 deliveries for the opening wicket as PBKS began aggressively. However, the innings lost momentum after the early surge, and by the 10-over mark Punjab Kings had reached 107 for two.<\/p>\n
Captain Shreyas Iyer then steadied the chase for PBKS, finishing unbeaten on 59 off 36 balls, alongside Cooper Connolly who contributed 38 off 27. In the 19th over, Starc struck twice in consecutive balls, dismissing Marcus Stoinis and Shashank Singh, and Suryansh Shedge followed up with a couple of impressive sixes off the same bowler to lift the final momentum. Chasing 211, Delhi Capitals found themselves in trouble at 74 for four. Yet Axar Patel and David Miller shifted the pressure back onto the opposition with a recovery partnership, with Axar making 56 and Miller scoring 51. Ashutosh Sharma and Madhav Tiwari completed the finishing touches to take DC to 216 for seven in 19 overs, sealing the win with three wickets in hand.<\/p>\n
With the ball, Mitchell Starc returned figures of 2\/57 and Madhav Tiwari took 2\/40 to pick up two wickets each for Delhi.
