  1. Ahead of the clash with MI, PBKS opener Prabhsimran Singh outlined his mindset for taking on Jasprit Bumrah, describing a straightforward plan focused on protecting his wicket while still looking to take the attack to the bowler.<\/li>\n
  2. Prabhsimran said he has recently faced Bumrah in an MI match, adding that while the India pacer is difficult to confront, he wants to counter that challenge with intent rather than restraint.<\/li>\n
  3. He also framed PBKS\u2019 approach as match-by-match determination, stating that every contest is a competition to win and that the batting plan is built around reading the ball and staying locked into the game rather than dwelling on the bowler.<\/li>\n
  4. In the same discussion, Prabhsimran suggested the group is approaching the remaining league phase with a \u201ccomeback\u201d mindset, implying a need to arrest the slide quickly with results.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Bumrah\u2019s IPL 2026 struggles and the contrasting view from Umesh Yadav<\/h2>\n

    IPL 2026 has been a rough stretch for Bumrah so far. The senior India fast bowler has taken just three wickets across 11 matches, and his economy rate of 8.51 has been well above the level fans associate with him.<\/p>\n

    Former India pacer Umesh Yadav believes Bumrah\u2019s inconsistency is tied to the sheer number of different approaches he has tried in this season. In Umesh\u2019s view, Bumrah\u2019s variability is creating problems for him rather than sharpening his rhythm.<\/p>\n

    Umesh contrasted that with Bhuvneshwar Kumar\u2019s form, arguing that the experienced seamer has succeeded through clearer planning and the ability to impact both phases of an innings\u2014during the powerplay as well as in the death overs.<\/p>\n
