Sunrisers Hyderabad have signed Sri Lanka quick Dilshan Madushanka as cover for Brydon Carse for the rest of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2026 season. Carse sustained a hand injury during batting practice in the nets ahead of the campaign opener against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Madushanka, a left-arm medium-fast bowler, is set to join SRH for INR 75 Lakhs. The pacer had been part of the Mumbai Indians setup previously, but he has yet to feature in an IPL match.
SRH are currently operating without their captain Pat Cummins, who is sidelined while recovering from an injury. So far this season, the Hyderabad franchise has managed two victories from five matches. They are placed fourth on the points table after securing a 57-run win over Rajasthan Royals on Monday. Their next assignment is against Chennai Super Kings on April 18.
