Rajasthan Royals top IPL 2026 table as Jaiswal leads Orange Cap race

Rajasthan Royals have surged to the summit of the IPL 2026 standings, extending their winning momentum to a third straight match in a rain-trimmed encounter against Mumbai Indians in Guwahati on Tuesday. With the race to qualify and the scramble to remain in the top four intensifying, the performances across the season have begun to separate the contenders from the rest.

Orange Cap leaderboard

Yashasvi Jaiswal was the headline act for RR, smashing an unbeaten 77 from only 32 balls in the reduced-format game against MI. The innings pushed him to 170 runs in the tournament after three appearances, with just one dismissal along the way, and it has put him firmly in command of the Orange Cap race.

Jaiswal’s explosive display against the Mumbai side also moved him past Sameer Rizvi by ten runs. The Delhi Capitals batter currently sits on 160 runs, having started the season with two knocks that helped his team win. He has also produced the tournament’s highest score so far, striking 90 against MI in DC’s most recent match.

At this stage of the campaign, six other batters have already reached the 100-run mark. Heinrich Klaasen of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi of Rajasthan, and Rohit Sharma of Mumbai complete the top five on the batting leaderboard.

Purple Cap leaderboard

Rajasthan also have a standout at the top of the Purple Cap table. Ravi Bishnoi has pulled ahead of the competition after building a head start with five wickets apiece earlier in the season. In the match versus MI, he delivered a sharp spell returning figures of 2 for 25 from two overs, taking his wicket count in the tournament to seven. That effort came in the same vein as his earlier 4 for 41 against Gujarat Titans.

Behind Bishnoi, the second spot is shared by four bowlers, all level on five wickets. They are Vijaykumar Vyshak of Punjab Kings, Anshul Kamboj of Chennai Super Kings, Nandre Burger from Rajasthan Royals, and Jacob Duffy of Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
